EMERGENCY SERVICES

You men and women of law enforcement, fire departments and emergency services deserve the utmost respect and appreciation for the sacrifices you make every day for the safety and protection of all citizens. But there's never enough in the tax coffers to afford the best training, equipment and facilities - never mind paying you decently for putting your life on the line every day. To add insult to injury, the taxes you yourself pay are directly subsidizing churches, synagogues and mosques that pay nothing toward the benefits and services they receive - including law enforcement, fire protection and emergency services.

We think it is unjust that these tremendously wealthy organizations are entirely exempt from paying taxes - and it's a significant sum that would go a long way toward better pay for people like you who truly deserve it. Frankly we would rather see YOU get tax exemptions than the clergy, but that's not the point. They should simply be treated like everybody else. It is only fair and just.

No one is asking you to abandon your church. Think about it: once they start paying their fair share, you will be better able to financially support the institutions you wish with the extra money you'll have when your own taxes are significantly lower.

WE DO NOT WANT YOUR MONEY. SERIOUSLY.

WE WANT YOU TO DO THIS: Contact your representatives and tell them to end the rip-off. Tell them: Tax the churches.
