CONGRATULATIONS! You've hit on the trifecta of religious welfare. If you belong to any of the three major faiths rooted in the Old Testament, you should be pleased to know that your faith is being supported by every other taxpayer. Or should you?

Conscientious religious citizens understand that the strict separation of church and state is precisely what allows them the freedom to practice their faith however they choose. And as your right to engage in the faith of your choice must be respected by other citizens, so too should their right NOT to support these religions be respected by you. This is the very foundation of our society, where people of all faiths - and no faith - can coexist in this great country, with fairness and equal dignity.

Remember, no one is suggesting that you abandon your faith or your church! However, when ALL religious institutions are paying their fair share of taxes as they should, your tax burden is significantly lessened, and consequently you will be better able to contribute financially to whatever specific institution you wish to support.

So contact your representatives and tell them to end this most un-American of practices. Tell them that the next time they are looking for an extra $20 billion a year to finance a war, they can start with income tax on religious payroll.
